I treat painting as a search for the surprising and pleasing. I draw in pen, charcoal, or sometimes, felt marker and paint mostly in acrylics, often using underpainting, which can create interesting and unexpected discoveries, avoiding over-controlled results.

Chris attended Lowestoft Art School, later taking up printmaking as part of an education degree course at UEA. After teaching she returned to full time art work and exhibits regularly with Artworks and Breckland Artists. Her work has been sold from London to Newcastle, widely in East Anglia, and in major open exhibitions such as The Discerning Eye, the Eastern Open (a prizewinner), Art for Cure, and the Castle Museum in Norwich. Her work has travelled to Europe, America and Canada.
