Alison Jones will be at the ARTWORKS exhibition today, Friday 18th September 2015, from 10am – 4pm. Alison will be demonstrating various watercolour painting techniques. This wlll be an ideal opportunity to learn more about the skills and techniques in botanical art and illustration. This event is free – no booking required.

If you miss this event, Alison will back at the barn on Sunday 27th September 2015 to demonstrate and share watercolour painting techniques with visitors.

A festival of fuchsias held in the village church provided Alison with the incentive to pick up a paintbrush for the first time in 1984. Alison Jones has received tuition from Jenny Jowett and Clare Dalby, who are both leading botanical artists. In 1995 the book ‘Fuchsias: The Complete Guide’, written by Edwin J. Goulding, was illustrated by Alison with forty line drawings and twelve colour plates.

Awarded the Grenfell Silver-gilt medal by the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) in 2000, 2008, 2013. Alison Jones is also a member of Iceni Botanical Artists (I.B.A.)
